Quick Match is a simple online racing mode that lets you take part in events with pre-determined regulations. When each individual event is entered, player matching takes place automatically, followed by the race itself. In order to enjoy Quick Match events, you will need to be signed in to PlayStation®Network.

Select "Quick Match" from My Home, and the Event Selection Screen will be displayed. Please select which one of the five events you'd like to enter. Events are updated on a regular basis.
The following information is displayed on the Event Selection Screen:

- No. of Laps ("WORLD" indicates a World Event.)
- Car Icon (If the event makes use of courtesy cars.)
- Max. No. of Participants

Car Selection
Select an event which makes use of courtesy cars, and you'll proceed to the Car Selection Screen. Select "Use a Courtesy Car" from the middle of the screen, and borrow a car for the duration of the event. If the event is one in which you drive your current car, this process is skipped, and you will be taken to the Regulation Screen. Select "Enter" to to enter the event.
Matching Screen
Once you've selected an event and a car, you'll proceed to the Matching Screen. If the event is not a world event, matching will take place on a regional basis. The region in which you will be matched is determined by the region of your Gran Turismo 6 game disc. The regions are as follows:
- Asia: Players using the Japanese and Asian versions.
- America: Players using the US and Latin American versions.
- Europe: Players using the UK and European versions.
Your matching region will be displayed as part of the regulations, displayed at the bottom-right of the Car Selection Screen and the Regulation Screen.
If players who have entered the event before you are already racing, you'll need to wait for the race to finish before matching can take place. You can watch the race as it happens. During matching, you can drive around the course to warm up. Once matching is complete, the member list will be displayed, along with the time remaining before the race starts. Before, During, and After the Race
The starting grid is decided before the race starts. Once that is done, a countdown will take place, followed by the race itself. Once the top players have finished, or a certain amount of time has passed, the race will end, the results will be displayed, and you'll return to the Matching Screen. Select "Exit" to end Quick Match mode. As long as there are two or more players still remaining in the event, matching will take place again, followed by the race itself.
