The third stage of the 2020 Manufacturer Series got underway on 25 April.

Mercedes-Benz's Latkovski (Nik_Makozi) had shown imperious form heading into the stage, leading the standings with a huge lead over his closest rival. Despite suffering a rare defeat to Audi's Jones (emreeree) in Round 28, Latkovski continued to pick up points throughout the stage, tightening his grip on top spot.

The final race of the 2020 series featured Gr. 3 cars, and took place on the Tokyo Expressway.
Pole position was taken by Nissan's Mahindajit (VLX_GTR), with the Porsche maestro Simmons (MINT_Matt) behind him in second.

The overall leader Latkovski was way back in ninth place, with his nearest rival, Ford's Wilk (Adam_2167), starting in eighth.

Having started in pole, Mahindajit got off to a poor start, taking a wide line on the third curve and allowing Simmons to overtake on the inside and move into the lead. A nose-to-tail battle between the top two then ensued.

On the eighth lap, Mazda's Wong, who had started in fifth place, caught up with the leading pack. Things would soon get even better for him, as he managed to overtake Mahindajit on the approach to turn 11 and move into second place.

Mahindajit got his revenge on the 10th lap, getting on the inside of Wong on the second turn. Soon afterwards, on the 11th lap, he would make use of Simmons's slipstream to overtake him and reclaim top spot. Simmons was also overtaken by Wong, dropping down to third place as a result.

In the second half of the race, Latkovski suddenly picked up the pace, and quickly moved up to fourth position. This ensured that a fierce battle for third place would break out on the final lap between Latkovski, Simmons, and BMW's McDonald (Keeden231). The Tokyo Expressway is a narrow, twisty track, and something had to give. McDonald managed to take Latkovski's line, forcing the latter onto the outside and into the wall. This manoeuvre allowed Simmons to break free, giving him an easy run to the finish line and third place on the podium.

Mahindajit's victory was a hugely impressive pole-to-win for the relatively inexperienced driver, fending off a number of different challengers en-route.

Latkovski finished the race in fifth place, but his earlier performances were enough to ensure that he ended the series on top of the pile, with a 197 point lead over McDonald in second place. As the 2020 series drew to a close, no one could question that Latkovski was a rightful winner.
