Volkswagen Reveals a Full Scale Model of Their Vision Gran Turismo at the GTI Meeting
A full scale model of the "GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo" was revealed on the 29th of May at the "GTI Meeting" in Wörthersee, Austria.
The GTI Meeting in Wörthersee began as an event for GTI owners in 1982, with Volkswagen officially supporting the meeting since 2006. The event has expanded in scale over the years to become on par with full size motorshows, with a large booth set up by Volkswagen for the group brand. The meeting that began with 100 participants now welcomes over 200,000 guests.
This year, Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi was invited to the event, where a full scale model of the "Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo", produced by Volkswagen exclusively for Gran Turismo, was displayed. Several racing pods where visitors could test the car in the game were set up at the event, gathering much attention from the crowd.
This car will be added to the PlayStation®3-exclusive title "Gran Turismo 6" through a free update planned for June 2014.
