What is the Gran Turismo World Series? (GTWS)
The ‘Gran Turismo World Series’ is the title of the official Gran Turismo world championship.
Drivers will be competing in one of two championship titles: the 'Nations Cup' where they represent their home country/territory, and the 'Manufacturers Cup' where they represent automobile manufacturers.
The competition rounds of the World Series are held as live events featuring the best competitors from the global qualifiers. There will be fierce battles as we find out who is the fastest in the world.
In the previous round in Prague, Mohamed Buhdeima’s (centre) enthralling win catapulted Ferrari to third in the Manufacturers Cup ranking. Expectations are high for the team in Tokyo
Italy's Valerio Gallo moves into second in the Nations Cup ranking after winning in Prague. He is currently only one point behind leader Coque López (Spain)
