To celebrate the start of broadcasting of this year's GT Academy TV show across Europe, Gran Turismo fans from all countries including those that were not able to be involved with this year's Academy, will be able to take part in a special Academy-inspired seasonal event.

From 08.00 GMT on Monday November 21, Gran Turismo 5 players will be able to compete in a special Time Trial Challenge seasonal event, which will unlock a bonus car for use in other modes of the game.

The Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Challenge, which takes place on a special Eifel Circuit 105A track designed by Polyphony Digital using the in-game Course Maker mode, puts players behind the wheel of a Nissan GT-R SpecV.

What's more, by taking part in the event players will receive a special GT Academy branded Nissan GT-R SpecV just for competing in the event.

After finishing this special seasonal event, you will receive a message to redeem a car ticket at the "Car Delivery" truck on the My Home screen in order to unlock the vehicle. All you have to then is enjoy your new ride.

This special event will run for four weeks only and will close at 23.59 GMT December 21.
