The "Gran Turismo World Series" will make its debut in Prague on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Following the season opener in Montreal for the Americas Region on July 6, all eyes will turn to the Czech capital for Round 2 in August, marking the European stop of the 2024 World Series.

The competitors were selected following six rounds of Online Qualifiers contested on Gran Turismo™ 7 on either the PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®5 console. The top 12 Nations Cup drivers and Manufacturers Cup racers from the EMEA Region will compete live at a public event in the historic Hybernia Theatre in the old town of Prague.

The Manufacturers Cup, which showcases a stunning array of cars, is a team competition featuring the top 12 car makers from the online Qualifiers Series, including official partners Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda. In Prague, competitors from the Europe/Middle East/Africa Region will race, looking to build on the points tally secured by their teammates from the Americas Region, who competed in Montreal on July 6. Following Prague, the Asia-Oceania drivers will take the wheel on September 28 for Round 3 in Tokyo. Ultimately, all three drivers from each manufacturer will compete as a team in the World Finals.

The 2023 World Finals surprised nearly everyone when Team Nissan emerged victorious at the end of a captivating race. Team Mercedes-AMG came in 2nd place with Team Genesis in 3rd.

The stage is set for a thrilling battle between all the teams in Prague.

The 2024 edition of the Nations Cup introduces a new format, featuring 12 drivers selected from the online Qualifiers Series who will compete in all three Gran Turismo World Series Rounds, as well as the World Finals.

The Nations Cup is an individual championship where drivers represent their home country or territory.

In 2023, the Nations Cup was a team event, with Team Spain securing a popular victory on their home turf at the World Finals. Two members of that victorious team, Jose Serrano and Coque López, returned to action in Prague, looking to replicate their 2023 success. However, challengers from Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, France, the USA, Brazil, and Chile will be eager to end Spain's dominance in this competition.
