The "World Series-Round 2" of the FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championship will go live at 6:00 a.m. (PDT) on July 11, Fans can catch the action on the official "Gran Turismo TV" YouTube channel and "Gran Turismo LIVE."

For 2021, a new format has been adopted that essentially divides the calendar year into two seasons, with Season 1 consisting of Rounds 1 and 2 (held in June and July, respectively), capped off with a new event called the World Series Showdown. Then, Season 2, which includes Rounds 3 and 4, to be held in October and November respectively, culminates with the World Finals scheduled for December.

Each round includes a race for both the Nations Cup, where the players represent their own countries and territories, and the Manufacturer Series where each competitor drives for their affiliated automobile manufacturer.

Round 2 will see 14 contestants in the Nations Cup, including Round 1 winner Italy’s Valerio Gallo, and 12 teams in the Manufacturer Series. The Round 1 title went to Porsche, with Chile's Angel Inostroza behind the wheel. With only the top three finishers earning points, the drivers will put it all on the line in this important second event of the season.
