Included in Update 1.49 for Gran Turismo 7 is the much-anticipated Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept.

The racing derivative of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept, the first VGT from Genesis introduced in December 2023, was unveiled by Genesis as a full-scale model at the Busan International Mobility Show in June 2024.

The Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept epitomizes the brand's "athletic elegance" design philosophy within the Genesis portfolio. It achieves remarkable downforce through its meticulously optimized aerodynamic design, which includes a striking wing, active aerodynamics, a flat floor, front and rear diffusers, canards, and gurney flaps.

The stylish racer comes powered by the same front mid-mounted Lambda II V-6 engine found in the Berlinetta, electrically assisted by Genesis E-SC technology. The Gran Racer also features a more powerful electric motor resulting in a system total power output of 1,540 hp (1,561 ps), close to 500 hp more than the Berlinetta.
