Event Overview

On 22 September, the second "Gran Turismo World Tour" will be hosted in Salzburg, Austria.

The venue for the event, the "Red Bull Hangar-7" is a beautiful museum and actual aircraft hangar housing many aircrafts and race cars owned by Red Bull. 36 players from 12 countries will gather here to battle in group exhibition races for the Nations Cup and the Manufacturer Series.

In the Nations Cup, teams of 3 people will fight for the top, accumulating points in a series of 4 races. After 3 rounds of individual races by each of the team members, there will be a final race with all 3 drivers sharing the same car with driver changes.

In the Manufacturer Series, each team will consist of 2 competitors, fighting through qualifier tournaments leading up to a final race. All races will be in an endurance race format where there will be a time limit and driver changes throughout the race.

This event is a precursor to the Championship Regional Finals, starting from October and held in Asia, Europe and America. Who are the toughest teams and drivers, what kinds of drama will unfold on the track? Stay tuned for some exciting races by some of the world's best players!

Tournament Structure

Nations Cup (4 Races)

- A 36 players group tournament with 3 drivers from each of the 12 countries.

- Races 1, 2, and 3 are single driver races for each national team participating. All 3 drivers in a national team are to participate in one of the 3 races.

- Race 4, the Final Race, is an endurance race involving driver changes with the 3 man teams from the same country each sharing the same car.

- The winner will be decided by the most points earned over all races.

Manufacturer Series

- A 36 players group tournament with 18 manufacturers, with 2 drivers per manufacturer.

- The top 6 teams from the Semi-final groups A and B will proceed to the Final.

- In each race, 2 drivers will share 1 car in the competition with a mandatory driver change.

Gran Turismo World Tour 2018 - Nürburgring

The very first "Gran Turismo World Tour" was hosted at the Nürburgring in Germany, during the Nürburgring 24-Hour race in May 2018. 30 top European competitors from various countries gathered to show a high level battle on the circuit, bringing lots of excitement for the crowd gathered there.
