The Gran Turismo World Series stands as the ultimate test of skill, where the world’s finest players compete for supremacy. The competition begins with the Online Qualifiers, open to all challengers, followed by the World Series live events, where elite drivers travel across the globe to battle on the biggest stages. In 2025, the series kicks off in London, UK, in June, before moving to Berlin, Germany, in September, and Los Angeles, USA, in November, culminating in the prestigious World Finals in Fukuoka, Japan, in December.

With their sights set on becoming the best among millions, the world’s top competitors will engage in an intense, high-stakes battle for points across four intense rounds of racing.

Round 1 - London: Saturday, June 7

Round 2 - Berlin: Saturday, September 20

Round 3 – Los Angeles: Saturday, November 8

World Finals - Fukuoka: Saturday, December 20 / Sunday, December 21

Two categories to determine the champions of the year

Nations Cup: This championship brings together elite players representing their respective countries/territories, competing behind the wheel of a diverse lineup of machines, including the awe-inspiring Gran Turismo Red Bull X2019, a visionary machine born from the collaboration between Gran Turismo and Red Bull.

Manufacturers Cup: In this championship, players compete on behalf of their favorite automotive manufacturers, going head-to-head against rival manufacturer teams in high-performance Group 3 (Gr.3) cars. A Gran Turismo original category, Gr.3 features race-tuned production models that deliver the thrill of top-tier motorsports.

The journey to the Gran Turismo World Series kicks off with the Online Qualifiers, which begin on Wednesday, April 2. Participants will battle across six rounds in both the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup, showcasing their skill and sportsmanship. Those who excel here will earn a coveted spot in the main live events.

Every round of the Online Qualifiers will be introduced in the Sport section of Gran Turismo 7 three days before each round.

Selection for the World Series

The Online Qualifiers follow a league-based format, ensuring balanced competition for all participants. Players are divided into three leagues (GT1, GT2, and GT3) based on their Driver Rating (DR). World Series contestants are selected from the top ranked competitors of the GT1 League, which includes top-tier drivers with a Driver Rating of "A" or higher.
