1.CHAMPIONSHIPS

The following two Championships will be hosted:

Gran Turismo World Series - Nations Cup
This is a championship in which drivers represent their respective country/territory. The country (or territory) of a competitor will be automatically assigned based on the information registered on the account for PlayStation™Network used to sign in to the game. There are no restrictions on the country of origin of the cars that will be driven.
Gran Turismo World Series - Manufacturers Cup
This championship pits drivers representing their favorite automakers against their rivals, as the world’s top manufacturers go head-to-head in a battle for supremacy.

2.PARTICIPATING REGIONS

The Nations Cup unfolds across five global regions, while the Manufacturers Cup takes place across three.

Participation in the Star Player program and World Series live events is reserved for drivers hailing from the following countries, territories, and regions.

3.ELIGIBILITY

Online Qualifiers

The Online Qualifiers is accessible through the Sport mode of Gran Turismo 7 and is open to anyone aged seven or older from a participating region. Entrants from Japan may compete from the age of six.

Minors who participate in the Online Qualifiers must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Live Events

Live Events are open to anyone 18 years old or over, except entrants from Korea who must be age 19 or over and entrants from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE who must be at least 21.

4.2025 CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2025 Championships will unfold across the following three stages:

1Online Qualifiers

These races form the core of the championship.

Participation is open to all in the Sport mode of Gran Turismo 7.

Leagues

The Online Qualifiers will follow a league format, with drivers placed into the following leagues according to their Driver Rating (DR).

League placement will be determined by the players Driver Rating (DR) at the time they enter their first round of the Online Qualifiers.

Once a driver’s league has been determined, it will remain unchanged throughout the Online Qualifiers, regardless of any fluctuations in their Driver Rating.

Nations Cup Online Qualifiers

The Online Qualifiers for the Nations Cup will take place in April and May.

It will span six rounds, with each round consisting of Qualifying and a Final race.

Drivers for the live events will be selected based on their results at the end of the Online Qualifiers and only from the GT1 League of each region. (Details below.)

Manufacturers Cup Online Qualifiers

The Manufacturers Cup Online Qualifiers will take place in April.

It will span a total of six rounds, with each round consisting of Qualifying and a Final race.

At the start of the series, drivers will enter into an Affiliation Contract in-game with their chosen manufacturer. Selection for race teams and live event participation will be based on results at the conclusion of the Online Qualifiers—limited exclusively to drivers from the GT1 League. (Details below.)

Individual Ranking Points

These points determine a player’s ranking in the Online Qualifiers for both the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup.

Competitors earn points based on their finishing position each time they participate in and complete an online race.

Points are determined automatically by the average Driver Rating of all players matched in that race and their final race position.

(If a competitor enters more than one race in the same round, only the points earned in the last race entered will count toward the competitor's individual ranking for that round.)

At the conclusion of the Online Qualifiers, final scores will be calculated from a competitor's best five rounds.

If two or more competitors have an equal number of points at the end of the Online Qualifiers, the ranking will be determined following the following criteria:
a) The competitor with the highest Individual Ranking Points across all rounds.
b) If still tied, the competitor with the highest Individual Ranking Points in a single round.
c) If still tied, the competitor with the highest Driver Rating (DR).
d) If still tied, the competitor with the highest Sportsmanship Rating (SR).
e) If still tied, the competitor who started playing Gran Turismo 7 earlier, according to the player's account for PlayStation™Network's record.
Manufacturer Ranking Points

Manufacturer Ranking Points determine a manufacturer team's ranking in the Online Qualifiers for the Manufacturers Cup.

They will be created as described below:

(1) Manufacturer Rankings will be created for each region

At the conclusion of each round, a manufacturer’s position in the Manufacturer Ranking will be determined by the points earned by its top-performing affiliated driver (the competitor who secures the highest Individual Ranking Points for that manufacturer in that round).

Manufacturer Ranking Points will be assigned to each of the 27 manufacturers based on the team's position in the Manufacturer Ranking board in the following manner:

At the conclusion of the Online Qualifiers, a manufacturer team's final score in each region will be calculated from its best five rounds.

If two or more top-performing affiliated drivers from different manufacturers finish tied on Individual Ranking Points, their respective Manufacturer Ranking Points will be averaged and shared equally.
For example, if Toyota and Porsche are tied for 3rd in their region, the points for 3rd and 4th positions will be combined and split evenly: (33 + 30 = 63 / 2 = 31.5 points each).
(2) Global Manufacturer Rankings will be created

Each team's Manufacturer Ranking Points from all three regions will be combined to determine its Global Manufacturer Ranking.

If two or more manufacturers have the same number of Global Manufacturer Ranking poimts, their positions will be determined following these criteria:
a) The manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all three regions and all rounds.
b) If still tied, the manufacturer with the highest Individual Ranking Points of its best-scoring affiliated drivers from all three regions.
c) If still tied, the manufacturer with the highest Individual Ranking Points of its best-scoring affiliated drivers from all three regions and all rounds.

Nations Cup

This individual championship assembles the world’s top 12 drivers—featuring the top three players from the GT World Series 2024 Points Ranking, alongside the nine highest-ranking competitors from the GT World Series 2025 Online Qualifiers.

The highest-ranked competitor from each region’s GT1 League in the Online Qualifiers will be selected, according to the Driver Caps listed below.

This championship features 12 manufacturer teams, comprised of our Official Partners and the top-performing manufacturers from the GT1 League in the GT World Series 2025 Online Qualifiers. One driver per manufacturer will compete in each race.

Representative Driver Selection

Rounds 1 through 3 of the World Series Manufacturers Cup consist of individual races, where the top-ranked drivers from the GT1 League in each region’s Online Qualifiers will represent their respective automotive manufacturers at select live events.

The top-ranked competitor from the Asia-Oceania Region will compete in Round 1 in London. Likewise, the leading driver from the Europe/Middle East/Africa Region will race in Round 2 in Berlin, while the top competitor from the Americas Region will represent his or her manufacturer in Round 3 in Los Angeles.

(In the event that a place becomes available due to the withdrawal of a competitor, then that place will be awarded to the next highest-ranking competitor in the Online Qualifiers ranking.)
(Under certain circumstances, a competitor may be asked to replace a competitor from the same manufacturer but belonging to a different region in any given round.)

This live global event will determine the champions of this year's Gran Turismo World Series.

Nations Cup

The Nations Cup World Finals feature individual races, with the same countries, territories, and drivers that competed in Rounds 1 through 3 of the World Series.

Determining the Champion

World Series Points will be awarded for each race based on finishing positions.

Points earned in the World Finals will be combined with the initial World Series Points accumulated during Rounds 1 through 3. The driver with the highest total score at the end of all races will be crowned 2025 Nations Cup Champion.

(In the event of a tie, the title will be awarded to the driver who finishes in the highest position in the Grand Final.)
Manufacturers Cup

The Manufacturers Cup World Finals will feature a team race, bringing together the same manufacturers that competed in Rounds 1 through 3 of the World Series.

Each of the 12 manufacturers will once again be represented by the top three drivers from the GT1 League Online Qualifiers, with one competitor from each region.

(If a competitor withdraws, their spot will be awarded to the next highest-ranked driver in the Online Qualifiers standings.)

World Series Points will be awarded for each race based on finishing position.

Points earned in the World Finals will be combined with the initial World Series Points accumulated during Rounds 1 through 3. The driver with the highest total score at the end of all races will be crowned 2025 Manufacturers Cup champion.

The race structure and points details for the World Finals will be announced at a later date.

5.STAR PLAYERS

Players who achieve top rankings in the series may register as "Star Players" on the official gran-turismo.com website.

Star Players are recognized for their exceptional skill and sportsmanship, earning the respect of the global racing community. Star Players are required to submit detailed profile information and, in return, receive greater visibility in race reports and live events.

Once registered, their Driver Rating will display as "S" in-game.

(The Star Player registration form is available only to competitors 18 years old or over. In Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, the minimum age is 21, while in Korea, drivers must be at least 19 to register. Registration requirements may be adjusted during the season based on the status of player registrations.)

6.POINTS OF CAUTION

Forbidden Actions
  1.  - It is forbidden for a competitor to simultaneously participate in the same championship and series with multiple PlayStation™Network accounts.
  2.  - It is forbidden to participate using another person's account for PlayStation™Network.
  3.  - It is forbidden for a competitor to intentionally support another player during a race where they are not part of the same team.
  4.  - It is forbidden for a competitor to exploit unintended gameplay mechanics and issues found in the software to gain any type of advantage.
  5.  - Any unsportsmanlike conduct.

Players found engaging in prohibited activities will face appropriate action, which may include penalties or disqualification, up to and including a ban from the championships.

Rule Violations and Fraudulent Actions

In order for the organizer to uphold the highest standards for the event and to ensure fair competition, we reserve the right to investigate any suspicious activities.

By participating in these championships, participants are expected to fully cooperate with the organizers if such investigations are taking place.

If a competitor is found to have violated these rules or have taken part in fraudulent activities, they may be disqualified or subject to other penalties.
