About World Circuits

World Circuits

World Circuits is the base where you will embark upon your journeys to various tracks around the world. At each track, you will be able take part in different events and activities.

Select Location

Select the World Circuits Pavilion from the World Map Screen to bring up the Location Selection Screen. Then place the cursor over a location to see a list of available circuits in the center of the screen. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a list of available championships. The championship list will show you your past results and what licenses you need to compete.

Select a location to proceed to the Circuit Selection Screen.

Weekly Challenges and Event Directory panels can be found at the top-right of the screen.

1) Weekly Challenges: Updated on a weekly basis, these challenges will become available to you upon completion of the game. Complete challenges to earn rewards. Please refer to the Weekly Challenges section of this manual for more details.
2) Event Directory: View and enter all the race events available to you. Please refer to the Event Directory section of this manual for more details.

Circuit Selection

Select a location to proceed to the Circuit Selection Screen, then select which circuit you want to visit. The number of available circuits will increase as you progress throughout the game.

A circuit may display the following two icons:

1: Paddock tracks, where you can compete in online races and communicate with other players.
2: Gran Turismo Sophy tracks, where you can race a next-generation AI agent trained through deep-reinforcement learning.

Event Selection

Once you have chosen a circuit, the Event Screen will appear, giving you access to various racing events and activities. The following race and activity types will be available to you:

Quick Race
Race against AI drivers. Please refer to the Quick Race section of this manual for more details. Gran Turismo Sophy tracks are indicated by an icon at the top of the panel.

Event Race
Event Races will appear as tiles in the center of the screen. In addition to being held under different regulations, they will serve as the main means of moving the game forward. Please refer to the Event Race section of this manual for more details.

Change Car
Change your car.

Paddock
Compete in online races with other players. Please refer to the Paddock section of this manual for more details.

Circuit Experience
Learn the best way to race around certain tracks. Please refer to the Circuit Experience section of this manual for more details.

Time Trial
Drive along an empty track, seeking to set the fastest lap time. Please refer to the Time Trial section of this manual for more details.

Drift Trial
Slide your car and drift to earn points in this competition mode. Please refer to the Drift Trial section of this manual for more details. Drift Trials are only available for some tracks.

Custom Race
Tweak the conditions as you see fit, and race against AI drivers in your very own original race. Please refer to the Custom Race section of this manual for more details.
