1CHAMPIONSHIPS
Gran Turismo will be hosting the following two championships:
- FIA GT Championship // Nations Cup
- The Nations Cup pits one country and/or one locale against another in a race to the championship. The country (or locale) of a player will be automatically decided based on where the player signs into the game. You can drive as many of the cars from your country of origin as you wish—there are no restrictions.
- FIA GT Championship // Manufacturer Series
- In the Manufacturer Series, a player signs a driver affiliation contract with their favorite car company and help it win the title against other makers. You will drive cars from the manufacturer you sign with.

52018 CHAMPIONSHIPS STRUCTURE
Nations Cup Structure
In the Nations Cup, the top 30 players from the Online Final Season's leaderboard will be given an opportunity to advance to the “Nations Cup Region Finals.” Please note that there the number of players from a single country or locale will be limited, as shown below:
- EMEA Region:
- Up to 3 players from the same country (or locale)
- Asia/Oceania Region:
- Up to 10 players from the same country (or locale)
- Americas Region:
- Up to 10 players from the same country (or locale)
- (If by the end of a Season there are still free spots due to players withdrawing or not qualifying, the next players in the ranking may be invited.
- When we invite these additional players as replacement, the above limitations related to participants from the same country or locale will not apply.
- If two or more players have equal amount of points at the end of a Season, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
- a) the highest Driver Rating;
- b) the highest Sportsmanship Rating;
- c) the earliest "Gran Turismo Sport" have been played, according to the PSN Online ID's record.)
The top 10 players of the “Nations Cup Region Finals” can advance to the next stage, for a total of 30 players at the “World Final” event (3 Regions x 10 players.)
The winner of the “Nations Cup World Final” will be crowned the “Nations Cup Champion” at the FIA Prize-Giving Gala in December.
- *Players must agree to the Terms & Conditions before participating in Region Final and World Final events.
Manufacturer Series Structure
For the Manufacturer Series, the global manufacturers will be ranked in accordance to the results of the Online Final Season, and the top 16 finishers will be selected to advance to the “World Final.” The top players in each Region from each of these 16 manufacturers can participate in the World Final (three players total from three regions.)
The global manufacturer ranking will be created following these conditions:
For each Region of the Online Final Season, the points earned by players at the top of each manufacturer leaderboard will count towards that manufacturer's total score.
Based on these points, there will be a manufacturer ranking for each Region.
Points will be distributed amongst each manufacturer based on its position in the ranking, according to the table below.
The points awarded to each manufacturer in the three Regions will be tallied to determine the global manufacturer ranking.
- (If two or more manufacturers have equal amount of points at the end of a Season, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
- a) the highest value of distributed points from all regions;
- b) the highest number of affiliation contracts registered at the end of the Final Season.)
- Points awarded for 1st: 45 pt / 2nd: 40 pt / 3rd: 35 pt / 4th: 31 pt / 5th: 27 pt ...
The top players for each of these 16 manufacturers can advance to the next stage, for a total of 48 players at the "World Final" (3 players from all Regions x 16 manufacturers). The "Manufacturer Series World Final" will see teams of 3 drivers from the same manufacturer competing against each other.
The winners of the "Manufacturer Series World Final" will be crowned "Manufacturer Series Champions" at the FIA Prize-Giving Gala in December.
