TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2021: The Details
Details regarding the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2021 e-Motorsports series were released on April 6 by Toyota GAZOO Racing, an official partner of the FIA Gran Turismo Championships.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2021 is a global race series much like the GR Supra GT Cup that began in 2019. For the event, a new element has been implemented where the race vehicle changes every round, thus the series will feature a wide lineup of cars, including the GR Supra, which reached 1.3 million in-game cars purchased since its inclusion in Gran Turismo Sport. The new GR Yaris, with 530,000 in-game purchases, will also be part of the mix, as well as the recently-announced GR 86, which will be available sometime mid-year.
The series begins on April 25 and will consist of eight races, including seven qualifying rounds. The Final is scheduled to take place in December.
