Vision Gran Turismo

Revived by the hands the famed Italian brand Zagato: The IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo is revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show

Established by Renzo Rivolta, the car manufacturer ‘Iso’ produced attractive Italian sportscars from the 60’s to the 70’s. On October 25, a new Vision Gran Turismo carrying on this bloodline was revealed for the first time at the Gran Turismo booth of the Tokyo Motor Show press day. This is the IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo.

This is a car inspired by the Iso Rivolta, a GT car produced by Iso from 1962 to 1970. Using the latest technology and design, this Vision Gran Turismo reconstructs the fighting DNA of the original Iso Rivolta, that actively participated in motorsports with a particularly successful history in endurance races.

Designed by the leading Italian Carrozzeria Zagato, the focus during its developmental stages was a perfect balance between superior performance as a racing machine, and its utility as a GT car in everyday life. At a glance, its styling is full of peculiarities that seem to defy the last 100 years of automotive design, but the culmination of refined senses and taste at Zagato has brought it all together as a front engine rear wheel drive sportscar that makes its viewer sense and feel beauty, and the future.

The engine underneath the long front nose is a 6.2 liter V8 built by Callaway. As the Iso Rivolta of the past was powered by a Chevrolet engine, the new IsoRivolta also chose an American powertrain. Its maximum output it 997 BHP, producing a level of extreme performance befitting its avant-garde exterior.

The IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo will be added to Gran Turismo Sport in a future update. It will be just a little longer until you experience the unique beauty of its form, and the performance of a true front engine rear wheel drive sportscar.
