GT Academy Graduates 2015 Race Calendar
The 2015 season of motorsports is about to begin. Let's take a look at the activities of the GT Academy Graduates in the coming year!
Lucas Ordóñez (2008 European Champion)
Lucas, who participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Japanese Super GT last year, will be returning to Super GT in 2015. Stepping up to the GT500 class, he will be racing in the Kondo Racing D'station ADVAN GT-R. He will also be making spot entries in the All-Nippon F3 championships, as well as driving in the Nürburgring 24 hour race in May with some other notable GT Academy Graduates.One highlight of Lucas's season is the LeMans 24 hour race in June. This year, he has a seat in a top category LMP1 class car, and will be aiming for the overall win in the unusual front wheel drive Nissan GT-R LM NISMO.
Jann Mardenborough (2011 European Champion)
Having driven the GP3 and gaining his first victory in Hockenheim last year, Jann will now be participating in the FIA World Endurance championship for the full season driving a Nissan GT-R LM NISMO. The championship, which runs for 8 races, includes the famed Le Mans 24 Hours race, where he will be joined by Lucas and Michael Krumm in an attempt to take the crown. Jann will also be participating in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race, and depending on his schedule may also be entering the Blancpain Endurance SeriesWolfgang Reip (2012 European Champion)
Wolfgang who recently won an overall victory in Australia's famous Bathurst 12 hour race, will be making a full participation in the Blancpain Endurance Series with the Nissan NISMO GT3. This year he will step up to the Pro class, facing even tougher rivals in the 7-race series. He will also enter the Nürburgring 24 hour race in May as part of the Team GT Academy.Gaëtan Paletou (2014 European Champion)
Gaëtan Paletou, who became a GT Academy champion just a few months ago, stood on the podium of the Dubai 24 Hours Race at the beginning of this year. He will be entering the Pro-Am class of the Blancpain Endurance Series.Ricardo Sanchez (2014 International Champion)
As with Gaëtan, Ricardo's life took a huge turn with GT Academy just a few months ago. He will be racing with Gaëtan in the Pro-Am class of the Blancpain Endurance Series.Florian Strauss (2013 German Champion)
Florian helped to achieve the overall victory at the Bathurst 12 Hours race in February, replacing Alex Buncombe at the last minute. And now he will be entering in the ADAC GT Masters, the top category of German touring car racing. He will also be participating as a part of Team GT Academy in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race this May.Bryan Heitkotter (2011 North American Champion)
The first North American champion, Brian will be making a full season participation in the Pirelli World Challenge GTA Class in a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. He will also be making spot entries in the GS Class of the IMSA Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge, together with Nick McMillen.Nick McMillen (2013 North American Champion)
The third North American Champion, Nick will be making spot entries in the GS Class of the IMSA Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge, together with Bryan Heitkotter.-
