Igor Fraga Slated to Join the Red Bull Junior Team
On 16 March, the Red Bull Junior Team announced that they would be adding Igor Fraga to their roster. In the 2020 season, Fraga will be under the Red Bull Junior Team Program while participating in the FIA F3 with the Charouz Racing System team.
Fraga is a 21 year old Brazilian race driver, but was initially born and raised in Japan. Not only does that give him a strong connection to Japan, he has also been playing Gran Turismo from a very young age. In 2018 he became the first Nations Cup Champion in the FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships, and has also shown great strength in real world motorsports. He became the Brazilian F3 Champion in 2017, and Series Champion in the Toyota Racing Series hosted in New Zealand in the beginning of 2020. He is a young up-and-coming driver who is gathering much attention from the world with his strong driving skills.
Operating two teams in the F1 World Championships, Red Bull is known to be very active in the field of global motorsports. And the Red Bull Junior Team that Fraga will be joining is a renowned racing driver development program for those that aim for future careers in F1 racing.
